A morning departure from Cumbria as we head north to visit the Loch Lomond Shores visitor centre in time for lunch before we continue via Drymen to our hotel in Stirling.

Tue 11th Nov

Following breakfast we spend today in Edinburgh, Scotland’s fantastic capital city. We have free time to explore, browse the shops and do some sightseeing.

Wed 12th Nov

This morning we travel to South Queensferry for a Festive Three Bridges Cruise complete with a Festive afternoon tea. In the afternoon we enjoy free time in Stirling before returning to our hotel.

Thu 13th Nov

Today we are off to Glasgow, enjoy time at leisure, soaking in the atmosphere of Scotland's largest city, browsing shops and ticking off some of the sights.

Fri 14th Nov

After a final breakfast, we leave our hosts at the King Robert with a stop at the Falkirk Wheel for their famous boat ride. The boat lifts up to join the Union Canal 35m above and sails smoothly from The Falkirk Wheel onto the Union Canal before returning to the starting point. We will make the short drive for a visit to The Kelpies before commencing our return journey home in the afternoon.

Situated on the site of the Battle of Bannockburn next to the Bannockburn Heritage Centre, on the outskirts of the historic city of Stirling, the King Robert is a friendly and excellent hotel. The hotel has 52 en-suite bedrooms that are all en-suite and equipped with all the necessary modern amenities; Free WiFi access, colour television and tea & coffee making facilities. The recently refurbished Bruce's Bistro is open daily for lunch and dinner. The lounge is open daily for light meals, snacks and for a relaxing evening refreshment.
