We depart Cumbria in the morning and begin our scenic journey across the countryside. En route, we stop in the historic market town of Richmond, where you'll have time to wander at leisure, explore the cobbled streets, browse local shops, or perhaps enjoy a light lunch.
We then continue our drive through beautiful North Yorkshire landscapes, arriving in the charming seaside resort of Scarborough in time for your evening meal at the hotel.
After settling in, the evening is yours to relax - or enjoy optional entertainment.

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we set off for a day trip to the picturesque coastal town of Whitby - famous for its rich maritime history, atmospheric abbey ruins, and connections to Bram Stoker's Dracula.
You'll have plenty of time at leisure to explore this charming fishing port at your own pace. Wander the quaint cobbled streets, browse the independent shops, sample the local seafood (don't miss the fish & chips!), or perhaps climb the 199 steps to the historic Whitby Abbey for stunning views over the North Sea.
We return to Scarborough in the late afternoon, just in time to freshen up before your evening meal and entertainment back at the hotel.

This morning we will be heading to York to spend the day at leisure and see all that it has to offer. Start at the City Walls: Arrive early and begin with a walk along York City Walls. You'll get a great introduction to the city with views of the Minster and some of York's parks. This will give you a sense of the layout and history of the city.
Visit York Minster: After your walk, head to York Minster. It's a short stroll from the walls, and it's definitely worth dedicating some time to exploring. Don't forget to check out the crypt and the stained-glass windows. If you're feeling adventurous, climb the tower for that incredible view over the city.Enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure at the hotel- or perhaps take part in the night's live entertainment.
