Mon 3rd May 27

Today you’ll travel south to your hotel in Newquay, enjoying a comfortable journey with planned comfort stops along the way. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon, giving you time to settle in and relax before enjoying your evening meal at the hotel.

Tues 4th May 27

After breakfast this morning, you will set out to explore Cornwall and some of its most iconic Poldark filming locations.
A highlight of the day will be a visit to St Michael’s Mount (tide permitting), where you may enjoy a walk along the causeway at low tide or, if preferred, take a short boat crossing to the island.
This spectacular setting, with its medieval castle and subtropical gardens, provided a memorable backdrop for scenes in Poldark and remains one of Cornwall’s most photographed landmarks.
You will then continue your journey to St Ives, taking in dramatic scenery along the way, before returning later in the day to your hotel for your evening meal.

Wed 5th May 27

After breakfast this morning, will head towards Godolphin House & Estate, a historic mining family home featured in the TV series Poldark. Later spend some time at leisure before returning to our hotel later in the day for our evening meal.

Thurs 6th May 27

After breakfast, we head to Eden Project, where you’ll have plenty of time to explore the iconic biomes, beautiful gardens and cafés at leisure. Later in the afternoon, we continue to the traditional Cornish fishing village of Mevagissey, where you can enjoy a stroll around the picturesque harbour and browse the local shops before returning to your hotel for your evening meal.

This morning we say farewell to our hosts and begin our journey back to Cumbria, with plenty of comfort stops along the way to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable journey home.

Pentire Hotel is just a stone's throw from Newquay's Fistral Beach, one of the most famous surfing beaches in the UK, the Pentire is the ideal base from which to explore the whole of Cornwall.

Accessibility

We have no ground floor rooms but a lift leading to all bedroom floors, with no stairs to negotiate.

Pentire Hotel does not have an accessible room; however, we have larger room and bathrooms which can accommodate some wheelchair users.
