Mon 6th July 2026
Today we travel south to our hotel in Torquay with comfort stops en-route. With arrival at the hotel late afternoon in time for dinner in the hotel.
Tues 7th July 2026
After breakfast, we'll be travelling to the charming fishing town of Brixham-a lovely destination with plenty to see and do. Known for its picturesque harbour, fresh seafood, and rich maritime history, Brixham offers something for everyone. Visitors can explore the bustling working harbour, step aboard the full-size replica of the Golden Hind ship, and walk along the scenic South West Coast Path. The town also delights with its colourful houses, local shops, seafood restaurants, and historic, welcoming atmosphere.
Later we will get back on the coach and travel over to Dartmoor Prison, Construction started about 1806-1809, originally to hold prisoners of war (mainly French in the Napoleonic Wars and Americans from the War of 1812). We make our way home via the scenic Dartmoor National Park, arriving back at the hotel in time for evening dinner.
Wed 8th July 2026
After breakfast today, we'll enjoy a scenic journey on the Dartmouth Steam Railway. Sit back and soak in the stunning views of the Devonshire coast as the train winds its way to the historic town of Dartmouth. Upon arrival, a short ferry ride across the River Dart brings us to the charming harbour front, lined with historic buildings and full of character.
You'll have free time to explore Dartmouth at your own pace and the town's rich maritime heritage, take a stroll through the cobbled streets lined with independent shops and galleries. Be sure to treat yourself to a traditional Devon cream tea at one of the many welcoming tea rooms.
In the afternoon, we return to Paignton by steam train, giving you another chance to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery.

This morning, we'll visit Babbacombe Model Village & Gardens, a delightful miniature world featuring beautifully crafted scenes, landscaped gardens, and charming details that capture the imagination of all ages.
In the afternoon, we'll head to Torquay for a half-day of exploration. This classic seaside resort, part of the English Riviera, offers lovely beaches, a scenic marina, shops, cafes, and coastal walks. Whether you choose to relax by the water or explore the town's attractions, Torquay provides the perfect setting for a leisurely afternoon.
