Alton Towers Resort is one of the most famous theme parks in the United Kingdom and is known for its thrilling roller coasters, themed areas, and family attractions. Located in Staffordshire, the park covers hundreds of acres of gardens and rides, making it a full-day adventure for visitors. Some of its most popular rides include The Smiler, which holds the world record for the most inversions on a roller coaster, Nemesis Reborn, an intense inverted coaster, Oblivion, famous for its near-vertical drop, and Wicker Man, a wooden roller coaster with fire effects. Alongside the big thrill rides, the park also has family areas, water rides, restaurants, and shows, making it a fun destination for families looking for excitement and making unforgettable memories together.

 

Staying in a family friendly Stoke on Trent hotel with a Health Club

We travel by coach and arrive in the evening to stay at the Holiday Inn Stoke on Trent M6, Jct.15.

 

Time to check into your rooms, relax after the journey, and enjoy spending time with family & friends. Maybe enjoy dinner or explore the hotel before getting a good night’s sleep. The next morning, everyone wakes up full of excitement and after an early breakfast we can then head to Alton Towers Resort, ready for a full day of thrilling rides, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

After a fantastic day at the park, it’s time to get back on board the coach, relax after a busy day, and enjoy the journey home, arriving back, late evening.

Sun 16th August

Departing the local area late morning, we begin our journey toward Stoke on Trent, with comfort stops along the way, We then continue on to our hotel, where you'll have time to settle in and unwind and enjoy the hotel's facilities at your own pace.

Monday 17th August

After breakfast, we set off for Alton Towers Resort to enjoy a full day of thrilling rides, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
After a fantastic day at the park, it’s time to get back on board the coach, relax, and enjoy the journey home, arriving back in Cumbria late evening.

Security checks

We take the safety and security of all our guests very seriously and have a range of robust security measures in place for the protection of our guests and staff.

We recommend if you are visiting Alton Towers Resort, you arrive in plenty of time to pass through our enhanced security checks. This necessary action may cause a slight delay; however, we hope you understand that the safety and security of our guests is our number one priority.

Our security team are here for your safety.  Please cooperate fully with all security checks and support these vital members of our team as they carry out important work to keep us all safe.

 

Enhanced bag & personal belongings checks

To make your visit as safe, secure and enjoyable as possible we have enhanced security checks in place. These include bag and personal belonging checks, which will be carried out for guests prior to entry.

Bags and belongings will be searched [and screened] before being allowed in. This is to ensure prohibited items are not brought into the Resort.

We also carry out enhanced searches where you will be asked to remove all items from your pocket and place them in the trays provided. You will then be screened by one of the team.

 

Metal detectors & security arches

In some cases, you may see additional security measures including walkthrough metal detectors, security arches or wand metal detectors.

 

Prohibited items

Below is guidance on what cannot be brought into the Resort. Please be aware this list is not exhaustive and is subject to change:

  • Any item deemed to be a weapon

  • Fireworks and/or smoke bombs

  • Glass bottles or other articles which may cause injury and/or be deemed offensive or dangerous

  • Sharp objects or anything which may be considered a security risk including knives, penknives, scissors, corkscrews, metal nail files, toy or replica guns.

  • Intoxicating liquor

  • Illegal substances and/or legal highs

  • Skateboards, scooters and rollerblades

  • Drones

Price per family 2 adults & 1 child £480.00

Price per family 2 adults & 2 children £616.00

Child age under 15 years

Please note that a child is based with a minimum of 2 adults sharing.  NB Sofa bed is deemed only suitable for a child.

All sums quoted include taxes where applicable.

 

We require a deposit of £50.00 per person on booking, all deposits are non-refundable once paid. The full balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to departure.
