This morning, after breakfast, we will travel to Port Isaac, a charming fishing village nestled on the Atlantic coast of North Cornwall.
Port Isaac is best known as the picturesque real-life setting for the hit TV series Doc Martin, where it transforms into the fictional village of Portwenn. The village is also famous as the birthplace and home of the traditional sea shanty group, the Fishermen's Friends, who rose to international fame after being discovered singing in the village harbour.
Beyond its screen fame, Port Isaac boasts a rich fishing heritage, breathtaking coastal scenery, and a maze of narrow, winding streets that capture the charm of old Cornwall. Later, we'll continue to the vibrant seaside town of St Ives, one of Cornwall's most popular resorts. Here, you can enjoy award-winning beaches, browse charming boutiques, and explore a wealth of art galleries and craft shops.
