A wicked and wonderful extravaganza awaits at Castle Howard for Christmas 2025. Gather your friends and family, and skip down the yellow brick road to experience the House dressed as scenes from Oz.

The House is transformed into the magical world of Oz. Experience our festive take on L. Frank Baum's much-loved story, told through installations, soundscapes and projections, created by CLW Event Design and Imitating the Dog – the same creative team that brought you Alice’s Christmas Wonderland and Christmas in Neverland.

Our Christmas Marquee returns with lovely food options, and a gift emporium as in previous years.

Itinerary

When visiting the House, passengers will be asked to arrive at the House entrance at a designated admission time, please note that if you do not arrive at the House at this given time, we cannot guarantee admission later in the day. Please always follow the instructions of room stewards and most importantly, enjoy your time with us!

Highlights Inside & Out, A stunning 25-foot Christmas tree in the Grand Hall adorned with thousands of decorations.

Bettys popup shop offers iconic Yorkshire treats and Alice-themed fondant fancies.

Decorated gardens and grounds, with sparkling trees along the driveway and marshmallow toasting at outdoor braziers, plus seasonal Food Marquee and Farm Shop produce & hampers.
