The delightful seaside town of Whitby welcomes you to discover its fascinating past

 

With many fun-filled attractions and friendly locals who are proud to share their heritage, Whitby truly does offer something for everyone!

 

Explore Whitby's quirky cobbled streets lined with independent pubs and quaint boutiques where you'll find lots of items unique to the town such as Whitby jet Jewellery.

 

A trip to Whitby would not be complete without a climb up the 199 steps to the Gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey, which was founded in 657AD and famous for being the inspiration behind Dracula!

 

Don't forget to reward yourself to some of Whitby's legendary fish and chips!

Itinerary

Following a morning departure from the local area, we travel to Whitby with comfort stops en route. We arrive in Whitby at approx. 11:30 and you can spend the rest of your day at leisure. At 5.00 we re-join the coach for our return journey to Cumbria

Join Reays for a unique day trip to the legendary Whitby Goth Weekend in the historic seaside town of Whitby.

 

Twice a year this atmospheric coastal town transforms into a spectacular celebration of gothic culture, music and alternative fashion, attracting thousands of visitors from across the UK and beyond.

Expect dramatic costumes, steampunk outfits, live music, markets and an unforgettable atmosphere in one of the UK’s most photogenic seaside locations.

Hundreds of incredible gothic & steampunk costumes
The famous Bizarre Bazaar alternative market with unique stalls
Live music, DJs and themed events throughout the town
Time to explore Whitby’s harbour, independent shops and cafés
Amazing photo opportunities around the town

You’ll also have the chance to visit iconic spots like Whitby Abbey, the dramatic ruins that helped inspire Dracula.

 

 

Please be aware that there may be walking involved throughout the day, we recommend sensible shoes and if you require assistance then please make the Reays Team aware on booking.

 

Although we endeavour to make a comfort stop on route this is not always possible.

 

Drop off and collection points may have to be changed on the date of travel, the driver will liaise with passengers should this happen.
