A day trip to Saltburn-by-the-Sea is perfect for a relaxed seaside escape: start with a walk along the promenade and out onto the historic pier, enjoy views of the North Sea before stopping for coffee nearby. Take the cliff lift, up to the Italian Gardens for a peaceful stroll, then head back into town for lunch, ideally classic fish and chips by the sea.

Spend the afternoon exploring the beach, watching surfers, wandering through Saltburn Valley Gardens, or browsing the independent shops, before finishing with ice cream and a final walk along the pier or beach as the sun begins to set.

Itinerary

Morning departure from the local area as we travel towards Saltburn-by-the-Sea, enjoying scenic coastal views along the way.
A comfort stop will be made en-route. On arrival, you will have the day free to spend at leisure. We depart at 5.00pm for the return journey home.

Saltburn-by-the-Sea

It may be a good idea to bring layers, as it can be breezy even on sunny days. There may be lots of walking involved, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Don’t forget to bring your bucket and spade!
